Shack-a-Thon

Shack-a-Thon is one of the hardest and most rewarding projects we take on. Hosted by TAMU Habitat for Humanity, organizations rent a plot of land on campus, design and construct a shack that they will live in for the week. This is such a unique opportunity to step into a field you may otherwise never have experience in, and facilitates those late night half delusional chats that you remember as some of your fondest memories.

One beauty of having such a diverse organization is that we always manage to have a number of people who already have experience and can open this opportunity to the rest of tour members.

Only one member has to be there at all times, but as you can see it is popular enough that sometimes it gets a little cozy! Even when we sign up, we often have more members come by as often as they can in between classes or while they wait for the bus at the MSC. It becomes our living room for the week!
